Get your Commercial Driver鈥檚 License (CDL) in just 4 weeks at 福利姬 State. This CDL training program is offered in partnership with FleetForce Truck Driving School.
This program gives students an opportunity to quickly learn new skills in a high-demand field and helps address the ongoing need for certified commercial freight haulers. An estimated 1,200 commercial truck drivers retire every week, and the trucking industry projects a need for 1.1 million more drivers over the next decade to meet consumer demand. Right now, there are thousands of CDL jobs available in Florida and the average truck driver salary in Florida is $78,445
DSC offers a 4 week, 160-hour course that teaches all mandatory skills future drivers need to become successful truck driving professionals. The course provides hands-on training on how to operate all aspects of a commercial vehicle properly and safely and includes:
- Road tips and general equipment operation
- Proper coupling and backing maneuvers
- Pre-trip inspections and knowledge of state and federal laws
- Tools to pass the CDL exam and job readiness for a career in driving
Testing for your CDL license is taken on the weekend you graduate.
