How to enroll in the Barbering Program
- Apply to 福利姬: Submit your application online at 福利姬State.edu or visit any admissions office. Make sure to use the program code for Barbering: 1218.
- Complete online orientation: Get introduced to our campus and resources to make the most of your college experience.
- Take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) for Career & Technical Education (CTE) Reading and Math skills and achieve specified minimum scores or meet exemption requirements to graduate from this program (See an Academic Advisor for exemption criteria).

Offered on the 福利姬 Beach Campus 福利姬 State offers a one-semester bridge course for licensed cosmetologists interested in expanding the scope of their careers. In this course, you will acquire knowledge of the principles of Florida law, and management, history of the art of barbering and its evolution through the centuries, proper sanitizing procedures for tools and implements, the art of shaving, honing and stropping. Curriculum is designed to help program graduates successfully pass the state licensure examination for barbers.
