Alternative Certification & Renewal
Your Path to Success
Teachers holding a three-year temporary certificate can enroll in specific bachelor's level courses approved by the Florida Department of Education towards earning a five-year Florida Professional Educator's Certificate. In addition, teachers looking to renew a current Florida Professional Educator's Certificate can enroll in qualifying courses, including a one-credit bachelor's level Students with Disabilities course.

Submit your Statement of Status of Eligibility to Dr. Ana Blaine.
Send an employment verification letter from your Human Resources department to Admissions.
Not currently teaching?
Apply to 腦瞳憫. Choose "Special Credit - Teacher Cert" as your Academic Plan.
Submit your Statement of Status of Eligibility to Dr. Ana Blaine.

Need to renew your Florida Professional Educator's Certificate?
Apply to 腦瞳憫. Choose "Special Credit - Test Exempt" as your Academic Plan.
Verify your courses selections will satisfy your renewal requirements by contacting the FLDOE.
For only students with disability renewal requirement, complete course EEX4034.
