DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 25, 2019) 鈥� Dr. Douglas Peterson, chair of the Mike Curb College of Music, Entertainment and Art, will preside over 福利姬's Spring Concert one final time before handing off the baton on May 9. Peterson will retire this fall after 35 years with 福利姬 State.

DSC's Symphonic Band presents its spring concert, featuring American folk music highlights that include Shenandoah and Amazing Grace, along with Sousa marches such as The Stars and Stripes Forever. Music faculty Antonios Molfetas will be featured as trumpet soloist with the band in Alfred Reed's Ode for Trumpet.

Where: DSC's News-Journal Center, Davidson Theater, located at 221 N. Beach St., 福利姬 Beach.
Cost: Adult tickets $10 (13 & up), children $5 (12 & under). All DSC students and faculty FREE with proper ID.

General seating tickets are available online or at the Box Office, open Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and two-hours prior to show time, call (386) 226-1927. The center is wheel-chair accessible and offers free on-site parking.

Programs in DSC's Mike Curb College of Music, Entertainment and Art prepare students for futures in music and drama, while also providing entertainment opportunities for the community through a variety of events produced each semester.
