Mission:
The program prepares students for employment in manufacturing and automation industries. This certificate is a part of the Engineering Technology AS degree program. The program prepares students for entering the manufacturing career cluster.
Description:
This certificate prepares students for Engineering Technology support positions dealing with operating and troubleshooting automation systems used in today鈥檚 manufacturing sector. Students learn and apply the principles of robotics and logic controls used in current manufacturing systems. This certificate is only available through the FAME program (with employer sponsorship).
Additional Admission Requirements
- Students must have been enrolled in the Engineering Technology, A.S. program and be a participant in the FAME cohort.
Additional Completion Requirements
- Some courses in this program have pre-requisite requirements. Students must have met or completed the course prerequisite requirements to be awarded the certificate. The prerequisite courses are part of the Associate of Science (AS) Engineering Technology program that should be completed for the embedded certificate
- Program specific and prerequistie courses must be completed with a grade 'C' or better.
